When people talk about AI, the conversation usually goes one of two ways:
Neither is true in my office. For me, AI is more like an intern who shows up five minutes early, wears slightly too much enthusiasm, and has a habit of pointing out things you didn’t even know were wrong.
This intern never sleeps, never asks for a lunch break, and will happily reorganize your messy thoughts at 2 a.m. They don’t steal your job_they make you look better than you actually are if you use it in the right way.
Sometimes they’re annoyingly thorough:
“Actually, have you considered rephrasing that sentence to better capture the reader’s attention?”
Other times, they surprise you:
“I took your random notes and made them into an actual structure. Also, I created a whole new section you didn’t ask for. You’re welcome.”
And sure, occasionally, they offer suggestions that make you raise an eyebrow:
“Why not write the conclusion first? It’s more exciting.”
But that’s the magic of having an AI intern: your thoughts get sharper, your work moves faster, and your ideas feel a little more… organised.
The best part? My AI intern doesn’t just help me work_it helps me think, clearly and quickly, with a dash of amusement along the way.
Some days I swear I’m not the designer at all — I’m just the intern, handing over moodboards while the AI lounges like the creative director, tweaking typefaces and questioning my grids. And honestly? I don’t mind. Turns out the bossiest intern I’ve ever had is also the best co-worker I didn’t know I needed.
The world’s not slowing down. The only way forward is to adapt and evolve with it.
